
For more than 20 years, Bill Mashek has been a spokesperson and communications strategist for elected officials, corporations, trade associations and non-profits. In addition to driving messages and stories through media relations, Bill has been involved in successful legislative campaigns, coalitions, and crisis response on issues ranging from patent reform and health care to Department of Justice investigations and sporting goods manufacturers.
A native Washingtonian, Bill started his career as a Congressional aide before joining Public Strategies, Inc. to work on telecom and international clients in Oklahoma City, Austin, and San Francisco. Back in D.C., he continued to work for PSI and later Ketchum on a variety of clients, focusing on regulatory, legislative, and litigation-support engagements.
Bill graduated from the University of Richmond with degree in History and Spanish. He continued his studies with a Masters degree in Communications from American University where he is a guest lecturer for PR and Journalism classes.
